Rules and Principles of Ethics
Doctors Injury Network's, Inc. model, both
aspiration and inspirational, emphasizes a standard of professional
conduct and responsibility to patients, theirs attorneys and
the Doctors Injury Network's, Inc. organization, including it's members.
Honesty, integrity and compassion for the patient are of
the foremost importance when providing health care services for
the patient.
Doctors Injury Network's, Inc. doctors are expected to maintain standards of continued
PI/WC and clinical competence through ongoing study. Referrals
to other specialists, preferably within membership, are always
to be made when it is in the best interest of the patient.
Doctors Injury Network's, Inc. doctors are expected to keep their fees within UCR.
Furthermore, laboratory procedures, specialty tests, etc., should
only be ordered or performed when it is in the best interest
of the patient
Doctors Injury Network's, Inc. doctor's decision -making processes must not be affected
by economic interests to any party, i.e., patient, attorney or
doctor.
It is incumbent upon Doctors Injury Network's, Inc. doctors to inform one or more
Directors of the Ethics Committee of any other Doctors Injury Network's, Inc. doctor's behavior
or practice, which would be considered unethical or questionable,
including fraud, deception, etc.
Member doctors and their employees are to place the patient's
welfare and rights above all other considerations
Use of procedures or practices which are considered investigational
or experimental, must be addressed with and approved by, the
Doctors Injury Network's, Inc. Board prior to such practice.
Accuracy and truthfulness in communicating with Doctors Injury Network's, Inc. doctors,
or Doctors Injury Network's, Inc. representatives, is required.
Additions to, or changes in, the Code of Ethics will be
administered/included as voted on and approved by the Doctors Injury Network's, Inc. Board
of Directors and as per our by-laws.
